LIBBY SMITH – SHARING MY LOVE FOR THE GAME
Libby Smith is a PGA/LPGA Specialized Teaching and Coaching Professional. Libby was Vermont PGA Teacher of the Year (2018) and Golf Digest’s #1 Teacher in the State of Vermont (2017-2018). She played 10 years of professional golf (2004-2013), playing on the LPGA, Ladies European Tour, Epson Tour – Road to the LPGA, and the Ladies Asian Golf Tour. She played in 5 Major Championships on the LPGA, won the 2007 Hong Kong Ladies Masters on the Ladies Asian Golf Tour, and had multiple top 5 finishes on the Ladies European Tour and the Epson Tour – Road to the LPGA.
Prior to chasing her professional golf dream, Libby played Division 1 Women’s Basketball and Division 1 Men’s Golf at the University of Vermont, where she captained both teams. She was the only woman in the United States to compete on a Men’s Division 1 Golf Team during her four years at UVM. Libby graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering and has been inducted into four Halls of Fame for basketball and golf (Vermont Sports Hall of Fame in 2020, University of Vermont Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012, New England Basketball Hall of Fame in 2009, and the Vermont Principals Association Hall of Fame in 2007).
Libby’s enthusiasm and love for the game, coupled with her extensive knowledge of the golf swing and engineering background, bring a simplified, fun learning environment for any golfer looking to improve.
